| About the Author
Writer Christopher Cudworth began work on his non-fiction book The Genesis Fix: A Repair Manual for Faith in the Modern Age after giving a 1998 public reading of his essay about the need for reconciliation between science and religion. The essay, titled "The Genesis Factor: How Earth Was Forgotten Since Creation" formed the core for what would become a book of four chapters and 42,000 words. The Genesis Fix addresses the influence of biblical literalism on politics, culture and the environment. The book concludes with practical yet scriptural solutions to the supposed gap between biblical and secular knowledge. To read the introduction, click here. Christopher L. Cudworth is the author of more than 1000 articles for newspapers and magazines and served as editorial writer for the Daily Herald, Illinois' third-largest newspaper. His first discussion of material in the book will be conducted at Batavia Public Library November 19, 2006. The discussion is a collaborative presentation with the Green Spiritual Connection of the Fox Valley...People of Faith Caring for God's Creation.
